The Bible warns us to guard our hearts, to capture every thought and make it obedient to Christ, and to resist the devil so that he will flee. Eve teaches us what happens when we let our guards down. Especially in this modern-day world, it’s easy to become weary. This is precisely where the enemy wants you.

We then hear the infamous question that led to the downfall, “Did God really say that?” 

Make no mistake, the mind is a battlefield. It’s where it all starts. One little thought can lead to action. That action can become forbidden fruit. 

This candle reminds you that whatever you’re going through, stand firm on His word. Trust His “no” and “wait” as the protection they are. 

God is not trying to keep anything from you. He is not out to hurt you. But, the enemy is.
